Mac and Dipper offcial release

Earlier this year Brisware teamed up with a Namibian pilot and author Danielle Bruckert. Now on Thursday (28th Oct) we are pleased to release the first in a range ofchildren books from Danielle. There is also another four kids ebooks in development.

The Mac and Dipper application contains two ebooks; The Other Side and The Stair Case. "Mac and Dipper are two loveable pooches, who happen to be best buddies with one thing in common - they are both very curious! Join Mac and Dipper on one of their most memorable adventures."
These are great stories to teach your child about the importance of friendship and to never judge by appearances, it is suitable reading for children aged 6-10 and for reading to 3-5 year olds.

This application is free to all iPad users and is a great taster of things to come. The next application is set to contain in-app purchasing for the rest of Danielle's books. These can also be purchased in hard copy format at her website freekidsbooks.org.

We hope that all readers enjoy the books once released on the 28th and any comments, criticism or feedback is, as always, welcomed and encouraged.

Zak the Yak update.

The app has been in the iTunes store for over a month now and is doing very well. Last night we just pushed out another update and should be approved shortly.  Our main target is to help Room to Read gather awareness and increase donations to their cause.

With each iteration we are trying to improve this app, to transform it into something much more than a stand alone book. Currently we are adding in some read aloud functionality and a simple spot the difference game. These ideas and functions are constantly evolving within the development team here at Brisware and we are hoping to expand on these with each update. The idea is to receive feedback on each aspect, good and bad; constructive criticism is vital to app development.

Criticism may not be agreeable, but it is necessary. It fulfils the same function as pain in the human body. It calls attention to an unhealthy state of things.” - Winston Churchill

Our aim is to release the application and improve on it as users request. This is not a finished product but we hope in time and with the help of everyone who downloads Zak the Yak, we can provide a polished ebook to help promote donations to a good cause.
